LPNVGM Instructions

Thanks for buying the Low Profile NVG Mount

The bundle consists of two parts: bridge and mount.

You will find a small cardboard box containing the bridge and accessories. The mount is wrapped in plastic and comes with a small Allen key.

Below is a short guide and instruction.

Assembly and adjustment

  • Start by attaching the bridge to the mount via the dovetail adapter.
  • The monocle is screwed onto each of the bridge's J-arms. Remember to screw it tightly so that the monocles are not lost/damaged.
  • The mount is then attached to the shroud. Remember that the lock on the mount must be deactivated so that the locking pin does not protrude.
  • After the mount has been placed in the shroud of the helmet, the lock on the mount must be activated again.
  • Consider whether you want to use the break-away functionality or not. If the break-away feature is activated, the mount will be easier to detach from the shroud.
  • Attach bungees to the mount or monocles.
  • Put the helmet on your head and adjust the monocles with the adjustment options described in more detail below.
  • Use the included Allen key to adjust the friction screws. This is important for setting the correct resistance in the j-arms, and will ensure that the monocles are not pushed out of position if they accidentally bump into objects.
  • Two types of spacer screws are included for the bridge: large screws for better tactility and small screws to save weight. The spacer screws are optional and will increase the weight of the assembly marginally. The purpose of the spacer screws is to be able to set a fixed distance between the monocles, so that they can be easily pushed into place with the correct distance between the eyes. It is advantageous to use a nut (not included) to secure the spacer screws.
  • On the underside of the bridge there are three screws that are attached to the dovetail adapter. It is important to tighten these regularly with the included Allen key. Alternatively, you can use Loctite or similar to glue the screws in place and to prevent them from loosening unintentionally.

The best way to temporarily move the night vision device away from your eyes is to push the monocles up and to each side, so that they are positioned in front of the helmet. You do not need to flip the entire mount up.

NOTE: The monocles will not turn off automatically when flipped up completely. The monocles must be turned off manually.

We hope you will be happy with your NVG Mount🤙
